Lynda Sheeler, from an early age, knew that photography was her calling. At the age of six, she undertook her first assignment; her brothers christening. Unfortunately, all the pictures displayed was an artistic grouping of legs, as they were taken from three feet off the ground!
In college, Lynda studied film and photography at Ithaca College School of Communications. She displayed her work in many college shows with her photo, “child on a bus” once chosen as 'Best of Show'.
After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree, Lynda worked at Vestron Pictures and was soon hired as a film producer by one of the world's leading advertising companies, Griffin Bacal Inc. working on such prestigious clients as Hasbro, Playskool, Kenner, and Milton Bradley. Her talents were recognized with a Telly Award for a PSA she produced for the White House in 1998.
Today, Lynda prefers to work with her first love, the camera. Her passion, combined with natural talent and years of experience as a television producer gives her the ability to find the magic moments and makes her one of the freshest, most dynamic and sought after event and portrait photographers today.
Weddings, bar mitzvahs, events and portraits, to simple charming moments at home, Lynda photographs them all, always capturing her subject's distinctive character and essence. Her vivacious personality and patience make her a favorite with clients looking for that very special shot with expressive candor.
Lynda’s commercial clients have included Bose, Time Warner, MatterInk, Adrock, Gold Medal Australia, Mezza, Hamsa, Bergen Mama and others. Her non-profit clients include Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation, Children’s Cardiomyopathy Foundation and others.
She currently resides in Tenafly, New Jersey with her husband, and two children. She is happy to travel anywhere in the New York/ New Jersey area for photographic assignments, though Lynda has shot weddings as far afield as Las Vegas and Sydney, Australia.
